Reverse Angle Motor Concept (RAM)
We are the first - and until now the only - manufacturer
to have rotated the new Bosch middle motor by 210°
within the inner frame trapeze. Doing this allows maximum
chain-ring clearance and full clearance height to be
reached in spite of the central bottom bracket motor.
This configuration also allows optimal protection of the
drive from damages by the lower bottom bracket area.

The Haibike Brand
In 1996 Susanne and Felix Puello establish Haibike in Schweinfurt.
In 1999 we launch our first 4-link full-suspension Hai End.
In 2001 Haibike sets up the first MTB amateur team led by G. Burghardt.
In 2002 Haibike unveils a 7-bar linkage system.
In 2005 introduces a "CUSTOM MADE" modular design for MTB’s & racing bikes.
In 2005 the Carbon Revolution commences:
The first carbon full suspension CC MTB with a new suspension system.
In 2008 Star suspension system unveiled, the technological ancestor of the rock star.
In 2009 The Revolution Starts: fabulous 3 - Sleek / Greed / Affair.
The carbon bikes immediately rack up record results in almost all tests.

2010 Things Move Ahead: the Haibike Heet joins the big three as the lightest all-mountain frame. The first Haibike Alu 29er, Big Curve, comes onto the market. Haibike takes the wraps off the eQ, the first mature eMTB, as the world's only manufacturer with a Bosch motor rotated within the inner frame trapeze.

Made in Germany. Haibike meets Bosch. The Newcomer Bosch meets here on the E-market the brand Haibike, the innovator in the performance domain of mountain and race bikes. The to only 3 components reduced (drive unit, battery pack and Display) Drive system has been professionally integrated based on the Hai Q framework. The purpose was a high-torque mid-engine with high ground clearance. The twisted central engine that is used for the 2011 season around the world used exclusively by Haibike is also a further independent development. The mid-engine concept from Bosch allows much shorter wheelbase than competitors with central drive. This assures fun in the off-road use .

MERIDA - ricerca e sviluppo

Solo l'arte della costruzione del telaio permetteva la distinzione tra una bici buona e una ottima. Ma quei tempi sono ormai lontani: l'adattamento geometrico rispetto alla gamma funzionale della bicicletta e la complessità della cinematica della sospensione posteriore hanno trasformato lo sviluppo della bicicletta in una vera e propria scienza.
